Rich White Butter Bread

1 package yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
2 1/2 cup flour

Mix yeast,1 teaspoon sugar and water.Allow it to stand until bubbles.Add salt,1 tablespoon sugar,egg,butter and 1 1/2 cup flour. Beat in mixer.Stir remaining flour to form till dough comes away from side of bowl.Pour batter in container and cover.Allow to rest for 15 minutes. Place in pot,cover and bake on high 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.

California Prune Dumpings

Ingredients
Servings 6
For dumpings

50 grams California prunes
250 grams pander
100 grams potatoes
20 grams ginger
10 grams green chilly
2 grams cardamom powder
Salt according to taste
Corn flour
50 grams khoya

For gravy-
50 grams California prunes
150 grams oil
10 grams garam masala
250grams onion paste
30 grama ginger-garlic paste
10 grams red chilly
10 grams coriander
Salt
200 grams yogurt
3 grams cardemom

Method-

For Dumpings
Grate pander and boil potatoes. Then mix all the ingredients for kofta.Make individual koftas and stuff them with chopped California prunes and khoya.Deep fry them until golden brown.

For Gravy-
Heat oil in pan and saute till it crackles.Add ginger garlic paste.Cook.Add red chilli,coriander. Saute.Add yogurt.Add cashew.Add cream.Serve California Prune dumpings with gravy.

Aate ka Halva

Ingredients

2 teaspoon desi ghee
4 teaspoon aata
3 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup water

Method :

1. Add desi ghee to kadai.

2.Add Aata.

3. Stir thoroughly till pink.

4.Then add sugar and immediately afterwards water.

Aate ka halva is ready !

Yam(Jimikand) treats Piles,here is a Yam recipe and its many Health benefits

Crispy Elephant Yam(Jimikand or Suran)
It is also called elephant foot yam as it resembles elephant foot.


Peel Yam.Cut it into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

Put it in a steamer.Sprinkle salt,turmeric and mango powder on both sides.Steam for 15 minutes. When cooked,take it out in a plate.

Make batter.
Batter:

2 tbsp  rice flour
1tbsp  besan(gram flour)
Salt to taste
Turmeric  1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder according to taste
Crushed garlic  1/4 tsp

Make thick paste of these ingredients by water(batter)


Dip pieces in batter and deep fry.

Serve crisp yams.Delicious.



Jimikand or Suran or Elephant Yam is-

1)Widely used for treatment of persons suffering from piles problem.

2)It is also used for treatment of ulcers,worm infestation, indigestion, diarrhoea, rheumatism, urinary problems and dysentery.

1)It should not be eaten raw as it contains some toxic substances (dioscorine,tri-terpenes,diosgenin etc) which may lead to some health issues.

2)It should be avoided by people suffering from sinus infections,chronic cold,asthma.

3)It should be consulted by the doctor to eat suran by women during pregnancy or breast feeding.



    It should be cooked after peeling the cover to remove bitter proteins and irritant oxalate crystals.

Fruit Popsicles(Strawberry Bar,Chocolate Bar,Fig Bar..), quick and easy to make!


  These popsicles(strawberry bars,chocolate bars,fig bars..)  are a nice way to replenish the minerals lost while sweating.Fruits are thirst quenching
and have an instant pick me up effect.Pomegranate is heart-friendly.It has low glycemic index so recommended for diabetic patients and obese.
Nutritionist Naini Setalvad says,artificially flavored drinks don't help hidrate body,"1 glass of tetrapack juice adds 10 spoons of sugar,it makes one hyper giving sugar rush,after which it gives an energy plunge."


Some easy to make Fruit Popsicles this Summer

Strawberry


1)Strawberry Lassi-cles
Make strawberry and yogurt mix.Freeze in Popsicle mould.Enjoy.

2)Peach and Basil-sicle
Puree fresh peaches,add lime juice,some water and basil leaves.Freeze in mould.It's ready.

3)Vegan chocolate with pine nuts
Mix liquid chocolate almonds(finely chopped),vanilla,roasted pine nuts.Freeze in moulds.Its ready.

4)Sweet Corn-sicle
Boil corn kernels, add coconut milk,pinch of vanilla and salt.

5)Low fat Fig-sicle
Use figs,vanilla,yogurt and sliced figs and freeze in moulds.

Garlic Paav(Loaf)

You need-
Paav  4
Olive Oil  2 tbsp
Butter  1 tbsp
Crushed Garlic  3 tsp
Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
Peppered Cream Cheese  4 tsp

Method:

1)Slice a paav into 4 vertical slices joined at bottom.

2)Grill paav slightly to make it crisp at top.

3)Add olive oil,butter, 3tsp crushed garlic to pan.When light brown, add chilli flakes & turn off burner.

4)Spread olive oil mix in each slice & top it with cream cheese & serve.

It's Ready to eat!!

Garlic Cheese Toasty

You need-

Cream Cheese
Garlic
Black Pepper
Bread preferred Italian Bread
Cucumber

Method-


  1. Mix crushed garlic and black pepper with cream cheese.
  2. Toast Bread.
  3. Spread cheese mixture over toasted bread.Top it with peppered cucumber.


You're done!
