Ola's founder and chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal has been talking about the company's intent to go international and give competition to rivals like Uber.Ola is entering the Australian market in its first international foray.Ola has started inviting private hire vehicle owners in Sydney,Melbourne and Perth for registering with Ola.
So Indians if you have relatives in Australia tell them about Ola!

Agni 5 test fired

Agni 5 surface to surface ballistic missile was successfully test fired from balasore,Odisha,India.Previously also Agni series of missiles, Agni 1 of range 1000 km,Agni2 2000km,Agni3 3000km,Agni4 4000km and now Agni5 is of 6000km range.It is an intercontinental ballistic missile.It can carry nuclear warheads.It can hit its enemies Pakistan and China.

BA,BComm courses to go online

BA,BComm courses to become online in India.Now students can do this course from home.Centre and state have decided to do this.Prakash Javdekar(Mnav Sansaadhan Vikas Mantri) gave this information.Javdekar said only those colleges and Universities which come on top in NAK Accreditation will be allowed to give degrees,diplomas and certificates.Approx. 15 colleges and Universities fall in this category.

Haj pilgrims will not get subsidy

Haj pilgrims will no longer be given any subsidy,instead the subsidy will be diverted to the welfare of minority girls.SC had ordered this 10 years back and now it is in effect.Congress did not show objection to BJP's such move as earlier when SC had ordered 10 years back.

Time is running out.Post your comment for free Internet on mygov.in,last date 15 August, 2015

 The Indian government is inviting responses to the draft report that the Department of Telecommunications released on the issue of net neutrality.

The responses will help the government to take appropriate decision on the issue as these will also be considered along with the TRAIs suggestions following a consultation process.

 The deadline to submit the comments is 15 August 2015 so citizens have less than 24 hours to make their voice heard.

The process has been moved to a MyGov.in forum, part of the governments governance portal. To submit comments on net neutrality, citizens need to first register on the MyGov.in website, sign-in, go to the net neutrality page and submit their response.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue. Through this forum of My Gov, we invite valuable comments and suggestions on the report and recommendations before 15th August, 2015.

-scroll down.Go to bottom of page.You will find Activities written.

-In Activities,there is a  Discuss button.Below discuss button is written 'group centric and national theme'.Click Discuss.

-In the page that appears at the bottom of page is 'Trending'

What is Bada Mangal in India?

300 to 400 years back a Lucknow Muslim started doing Pooja arrangements (arrangements-phoolmala(flower garland),besan ladoo,orange tika) after some days of Hanumanji's Birthday. Afterwords,other people also started doing the same.Gradually,people extended it till 4 Tuesdays. From then onwards,this Pooja(Bada Mangal) is going on in Lucknow.

Parts of a Computer

Monitor
CPU
Keyboard
Mouse
Memory


Monitor-shows the pictures as we see on the television.
Keyboard-works for computer and helps writing characters.
Mouse-points on the monitor as your teacher points on the blackboard with a finger.
CPU-brain of the computer as we have.
Memory-to store figures on memory chip.
Monitor(screen)-
It is also known as Visual Display Unit.
It can be black and White or Colored.
It comes in various sizes.

Keyboard-
It looks like a typewriter.
It is used to type alphabets,numbers and symbols.
There are special keys for special functions.
Summary
Computer has 4 main parts-Monitor,CPU,Memory and Keyboard.
CPU is known as the brain of the computer.
What we do on the computer can be seen on the monitor.
Keyboard has many keys which are used to type alphabets,numbers and other special characters.

Some More parts of a computer

Mouse
It is also called a pointing device.
It has 2 or more buttons.
Clicking it,selects an item on the screen.
It helps us to draw pictures on the screen.
When mouse is moved on the desk,the pointer on the screen moves in the same direction.
A mouse has cord to connect to the CPU and cordless as well.

Printer
It is used to print letters and drawing on the paper.
Popular printers are Dot matrix,Deskjet and Laser Printers.

Floppy
It stores data/information as we write in our notebook for future use.
It is placed in a floppy disk drive.
It stores less amount of information.

Floppy Disk Drive
It is used to read and write the data to a floppy as we use our eyes while reading or writing.


Hard Disk Drive
It can store a large amount of data.
It is fixed inside the cabinet of computer.
It comes in various storage capacities.

CD ROM
CD stands for Compact Disk.
It can contain Games,Music,Movies and Programs.
It has shiny surface.

CD ROM Drive
It reads data from the CD ROM.

Joystick
It is used to play games,on the computer as we play video games.
It is an input device.

Speakers
Speakers are used for listening to music and other sounds.

Microphone
We can record our voice using a microphone.

Scanner
It scans text/image and puts it into computer as we see any picture and store it in the memory.

Summary
Mouse is used to move the mouse pointer on the screen in the desired direction.
Printer is used to print the output on the paper.
CD ROM is used to store movies,songs and other data.
Floppy is also used to store information but has lessor capacity in comparison to CD ROM.
Joystick is used to play games.
Scanner copies images to the computer.
We can listen to music with the help of speakers.

Telecom regulator Trai(India) solves data usage complaint by consumers!!


Telecom regulator Trai proposes  that service providers should take explicit consent of consumers through toll free short code 1925 for activating data services, this move was taken to address users complaints regarding data usage.
It is proposed that data services should be activated or deactivated only with explicit consent of the subscriber through toll free short code 1925.

Quake Digest-Earthquake Today 3rd May,2015,an Update

1)In case of Earthquake, immediately leave house and go and stand in open.
2)If you are inside building,take shelter under desk,table, doublebed,below stairs.Avoid glass doors,windows.
3)Don't stand near buildings.
4)Remain in open until the tremors are over.
5)Stop driving.
6)Untie animals & pets.
7)Don't use candles, matchsticks or  objects that produce flames.
8)Switch off gas valves.
9)If there is gas leakage don't use electric switches & equipments.
10)If water pipes,electric lines are damaged close main valve.Open wires should not be touched.
11)Doors and cupboards should be opened with care as heavy objects may fall on you.

Yesterday a powerful earthquake with 7.9 magnitude ripped through the upper part of the SouthAsian peninsula.It was epic entered near Kathmandu.It rattled the landscape from Myanmar to Punjab.

Injured survivor Rishi Khanal of Nepal recalls his 82 hour ordeal-No sound went out or came in from the rubble.His nails turned white and lips cracked.He was surrounded by dead people and a terrible smell came from them.He banged against the rubble when finally someone came for rescue. He drank his own urine as he hadn't eaten or drank anything from a long time.
